The turbulent clouds whisked me from one side to the other, like two titan’s clashing in a game of chess. I was floating in the sky, as I had done so many times before, but something was different. Normally the clouds were white and fluffy; today they were almost gray. It felt like I could see them shifting uneasily under my feet, not knowing which side to turn to next. The wind roared into my ears like a stampeding army on the battlefield.
My heart was beating with equal force as it pushed through my chest, reaching for the sky. I tried to hold onto one of the clouds with all my might but I could feel myself slipping away.
