Hawaiian botanical #2
Puaala (Euphorbia hirta), also called beach snow, is a coastal plant with leaves and stems adapted to resist the salty ocean wind. The leaves are succulent and bristly as shown in the close-up. The stems produce yellow, five-petaled flowers described as star shapes. This awesome art of Ikebana has an elegant simplicity that I quite love.
Art created, designed, and photographed by Francis Domecq.

This painting was done after I read a book about how to arrange flowers in Japanese-style.
