Lake tahoe moonrise
Lake Tahoe is the highest lake in USA. It’s quiet deep and blue color gives off an air of mystery. The lake contains 39 species of fish, most introduced either by accident or as gamefish; only the critically endangered Lahontan cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus clarki henshawi) is native to the lake, many of the other native fish having become extinct.
Water clarity is low because of an excessive growth of submersed aquatic vegetation (SAV). SAV provides habitat for larval forms of several endemic insects and copious amounts of yellow pollen which fertilize algae that form dense mats on the surface.

Nevada highway
The painting shows the smooth Nevada highway overlooking the sunset from the side. The scene was painted on the spot where there is a pullout area. The desert sands and a cooling breeze is shown with a cloudy evening sky in this painting.
Lake Tahoe red sky #5
This work was inspired by the architecture of Japanese architect Tadao Ando. I have become a huge fan of his works after watching “A Vision of Japanese Gardens” and I would like to thank Mr.Ando for his wonderful creations which will guide my future designs as well.
Napa valley noon

The painting is done for today. I’ll work on highlights tomorrow. It’s already past noon by this time, but I’m still working away The hot air…
