The painting is part of a series inspired by the Japanese tradition of Ikebana flower arrangement. In this case, each painting is from a different point of view, however both views work together as one composition.
In past times, the sacred art of flower arrangement was reserved only for temples and the aristocracy who were able to enjoy its beauty and serenity. It is believed that the art of flower arrangement has its roots in China around 2000 years ago.
