This work is influenced by Japanese art and culture, as well as nature. Japanese paintings have been my main influence for this work, but lately I have been studying the dark tones of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings, which have also influenced me in this work.
Ikebana means “the way of flowers”. It refers to Japanese art forms that aesthetically arrange various plants, often with an accent on a flower arrangement. The composition and design of this art form follows a simple rule
