The stem, an essential element for flowers to grow and bloom, represents the core of ‘life’. It is depicted as if it’s being stretched out by breathing air. Dots are also used to symbolize breath/air or anything invisible yet important.
This painting is currently up for “the art of observation” exhibition at Arario Gallery in Seoul.
