Wave Landmark Tower, Tokio
At 88 stories, the Wave is a commercial building in Shinjuku and houses many of Japan’s major broadcasting corporations. It’s also home to Studio Alta, a music recording studio where I peformed with Maroon 5 and Jill Scott in the past year. The Wave is an impressive skyscraper and has been featured in multiple movies.
The recording studio was designed by PLH Architects and is pretty unique in that everything inside, from the lighting to the flooring has been thought out. The live room that I recorded my new album in was just outside of Jill Scott’s recording booth and we both had our own engineers.
