Ikkebana is a school of flower arrangement founded more than 300 years ago.
It inherits various kinds of arrangements, such as Nageire (thrown inside) and Hanga (placed on the side), which are the current style.
The word ikebana means “living flowers”, it can be translated into “flowers that live”.
