Colorado landscape
It is made of rugged mountains and endless prairies. It is a wonderland that is often associated with cowboys, wagon trains, outlaws, gunslingers and the old west. However Colorado was not always this way. Millions of years ago it was covered by an ancient sea which yielded prehistoric life forms as fossils. This same sea also laid down huge beds of limestone which made the land very rich for farming and ranching. Many buffalo roamed throughout this prairie landscape as cowboys herded cattle on horseback.
