PALM BEACH
Pyrography and Oil on Mango Wood, Photorealistic
The day is set on the beach, with a standard wa’a, which is a single-outrigger canoe represented on the right. The sand’s bright warmth and the wood’s calmness combine to create a relaxing atmosphere. The blues merge into one another on the shoreline, building up to a deep blue of the Hawaiian Pacific.
In the foreground, the palm trees provide a bright green energy to the piece, complemented by a few warm yellow accents added across a light blue textured sky.
The surface of the sea is perfectly glossy thanks to pyrography techniques, which created this beautiful effect. The absence of boundaries between land and sea in this work adds to the rest of the picture’s intrigue.
