I used a Keahou surfboard 7 feet 5 inches long. A Keahou is a very tough, yet light and extremely buoyant board that was made in the 1950’s. It has a pronounced nose and tail, with a rounded bottom contour.
Keahous were popular for a lot of things, but most notably for ikebana flower arrangement.
They were used to hold fresh cut flowers, or dry flowers that could be arranged into Ikebana ikebana style of flower arrangement.
The board I’m using is made of Philippine mahogany and still has some original fiberglass cloth on it –
