Kauna’Oa – Mauna kea beach
Well, it’s been over a week since I’ve submitted anything, so here’s another one for your viewing pleasure. This is Kauna’oa beach in Mauna Kea, Hawaii. Mind you this isn’t the main beach where all the resorts are, but rather its next door neighbor. When I first visited this place years ago, I was a little disappointed to see a strip of hotels and resorts. But as time went on, I came to realize that this beach is enchanting in its own way.

Bromeliad ocean view from Maui
It is usually thought to be a houseplant, but it caught my eye in the midst of tropical flowers such as orchids and other colorful Hawaiian flowers! It was so lush and full that it looked like an exotic flower itself. I could imagine this to be an interior plant in a Japanese-style room, which makes it even more attractive!
