CLOUDSCAPE #5
Oil on Paper, Impressionism, Ethereal
I just stood there for I don’t know how long, but it felt like forever.. In reality it probably only took a few seconds, but what I experienced as minutes or even hours went by as if I had been watching the sky for days. I wasn’t sad or happy, just took in the beauty of what was before me. Clouds were coming and going like tides on a beach; leaving nothing but the memories of what they look like to fade into nothingness.
Seen in this artwork is a colorful cloudscape with a horizon line being folded over itself to create perfect reflection. The whole background of the artwork is blue, purple, teal, yellow, orange, pink, deep purple, light green to denote a sense of serenity or peace. The horizon line is folded twice to create a unique refractive effect. The artist’s intention was to focus on the cloudscape and not the horizon line, but he wanted both to be visible in this artwork.

Soon, there were no more clouds. There was nothing but empty space…

Empyrean #25
The turbulent clouds whisked me from one side to the other, like two titan’s clashing in a game of chess. I was floating in the sky, as I had done so many times before, but something was different. Normally the clouds were white and fluffy; today they were almost gray. It felt like I could see them shifting uneasily under…

CLOUDSCAPE #12 Oil on Canvas, Impressionism, Ethereal What should have felt like an eternity was just a moment, and I found myself peeling my eyes open. The feeling that should have been heaven gave way to reality as my legs fell out from beneath me. My body tried to awaken, but could not seem to shake off the magic of…
