Seen in this work is four palm trees from a far away depth and perspective. The tall palm trees loom over the sand and wave in the distance. This is a very serene and inviting piece, with just enough drama to make it interesting. The color palette carries an even spread of warmth, and coolness starting from the sand all the way up through the blue sky.

The diptych format emphasizes the duality of land versus sea, deepening this sense of balance. The ground is in high contrast, and the painting is split with a deep blue water that represents the sea.
