KOA FOREST TRIPTYCH
OIL PAINT WITH PYROGRAPHY ON MANGO WOOD
The oil painting on mango wood that has oil paint on it looks like the forest is moving alive. The leaves sway into each other almost as if they are breathing and there is a lit lantern behind them that brings great contrast to the dark shadows under the trees. The green colors against the deep browns of the tree bark evoke a sense of mystery.
The bark is very detailed and the leaves are painted with a sense of realism. The light and dark greens dance against the wood as if to remind you that nature can be mysterious but it is not scary.
The KOA FOREST painting has been embellished with pyrography on mango wood which adds an extra layer of texture and more depth to the painting. There are leaves scattered on the ground around their tree as if they had fallen there after being blown by a gust of wind. The way each leaf is painted with different colors gives it more depth and life.
